D&#8217;aquestes darreres, Oeste nom\u00e9s va rebre 5, que posteriorment es van ubicar a la s\u00e8rie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agrupament.cat\/albumrenfe\/locomotores-i-tenders-240-2471-240-2475\/\">240-2471\/240-2475<\/a>, i que no formen part de la present s\u00e8rie. Les deu restant les va rebre ja RENFE, i aquestes s\u00ed es van matricular en aquesta s\u00e8rie.<\/p>\n<p>Les 70 locomotores de la comanda es van construir entre 1941 i 1943, i es van distribuir de la seg\u00fcent manera:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 per a La Maquinista Terrestre i Mar\u00edtima (que havia realitzat el disseny de la locomotora)<\/li>\n<li>15 per a Euskalduna<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La segona comanda efectuada el 1941 va incloure 80 locomotores, ja per a RENFE. Es van construir entre 1945 i 1951, i es van distribuir de la seg\u00fcent manera:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 per a Euskalduna<\/li>\n<li>28 per a Devis<\/li>\n<li>22 per a Babcock &amp; Wilcox<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>La tercera, i \u00faltima comanda, efectuada el 1945 va incloure 87 locomotores (i no van ser incloses en la primera edici\u00f3 de l&#8217;\u00c0lbum de material motor de RENFE). Es van construir entre 1947 i 1953, i es van distribuir de la seg\u00fcent manera:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>31 per a Euskalduna<\/li>\n<li>30 per a Babcock &amp; Wilcox<\/li>\n<li>28 per a MACOSA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aquesta locomotora va representar l&#8217;eix de la tracci\u00f3 vapor a Espanya durant els anys 40, 50 i 60.
